Associate Professor, Management Information Systems (MIS)
Metropolitan State University
As of September 2015, the SAP University Alliances Program has approved four Metro State University graduate courses in Management Information Systems (MIS) for inclusion in a new Graduate-level SAP Student Achievement Award.
The award denotes that a student who has successfully completed the course work has the equivalent of at least one year’s experience with SAP ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) software, the leading business ERP software package in the world.
The four courses are:
- MIS 665 Systems Design & Decision Support (Systems Analysis) [4 credits]
- MIS 653 Supply Chain Information Systems [2 credits]
- MIS 654 ERP and Applications [2 credits]
- MIS 693 Advanced Supply Chain Information Systems [2 credits]
This means that Metropolitan State University students who complete these 10 credits with a grade of B or better can receive this valuable certificate of accomplishment.
For students in the College of Management’s MBA and Masters in MIS graduate programs, this certificate can help in pursuing employment options in large Minnesota enterprises that use SAP ERP (e.g. Cargill, 3M, Target, Deluxe).
Indeed, IT professionals who have already earned a graduate degree are allowed to take these courses and earn this award even without formal admission to the College’s graduate programs.
